More openings to come as we continue to grow the team!Please read below for a brilliant career opportunity.Role: Python Backend EngineerTitle: AVP/VPLocation: Montreal, QC (Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid)Work type - Fulltime & C2H(6 Months)Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite requiredRequired Experience: 7+ yearsJob Overview:We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python fundamentals, FastAPI, asynchronous programming, and backend system design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend applications and RESTful APIs.Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.• Build high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI.• Implement asynchronous programming using Python's async/await, asyncio, and concurrent processing.• Develop efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following Python best practices.• Design and implement scalable backend architectures and distributed systems.• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and data modeling.• Implement authentication, authorization, and API security best practices.• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.• Write unit tests, integration tests, and maintain code quality standards.• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system design decisions.• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application stability.Required Technical Skills• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.• Strong knowledge of Python fundamentals, OOP concepts, data structures, and algorithms.• Extensive experience developing backend applications using FastAPI.• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, including async/await, asyncio, and event loops.• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.• Strong understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and distributed systems.• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.• Good understanding of API authentication, authorization, JWT, and OAuth2.• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.Benefits:• Healthcare insurance for you and your family (medical, dental, vision).• Short / Long term disability insurance.• Life Insurance.• Accidental death & disability Insurance.• 3 weeks of Paid Time Off.• Support and fee coverage for immigration needs.• Remote office set up stipend.• Support for industry certifications.• Additional cash incentives.• Re-skilling opportunities to transition between technologies.Schedule: Monday to FridayWork Mode: HybridJob Type: Full-timeWe are: A high end technical consulting firm built and run by highly qualified technologists.
