Medical Laboratory Technologist (Regular Part Time)

One (1) regular part‑time Medical Laboratory Technologist position is available within our Laboratory Department. This position is unionized with OPSEU – Local.

Qualifications:

• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
• Experienced in Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, and Phlebotomy
• Demonstrated knowledge and sound judgment regarding patient and staff safety
• ECG skills an asset
• Superior communication, teamwork, technology, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with many internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies
• Knowledge and compliance with IQMH and Lab Licensing Standards
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required
• Satisfactory reference checks required prior to start date
• Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must complete a pre‑employment health assessment prior to being hired

Hours of Work:

• As per department schedule
• As per Collective Agreement
