In Search of a Personal Support Worker for Part-Time In-Home Services

We are looking for a certified PSW to add to my grandmother's care team. She lives in a nanny suite attached to my home and requires support as a result of her vascular dementia diagnosis secondary to stroke. She is a lovely little lady who maintains quite a bit of her independence at this time. Our PSWs provide her with companionship, go for walks around the block, help with meal preparation, help her with speech and physiotherapy exercises, and take her to run errands nearby. Everyone on the team loves her dearly, as she is a kind 88-year-old woman who is a joy to be around. As her dementia progresses, we are looking to put additional supports in place. In order to receive funding through Green Shield, her PSWs must have a certificate or diploma. Greenshield pays $35/hour and her shifts are typically four hours in length. We are looking to fill some permanent afternoon/evening positions but are also open to hiring someone who can only do casual shifts around their other positions. (Part-Time, Live-Out) For morning, day, evening (on weekend)
