Application Support Engineer at Cognizant

Elevate your career as a versatile Application Support Engineer with Cognizant, focusing on .NET, SQL Server, Web API, and Azure. This remote role blends development with operational support, ensuring application stability. Cognizant seeks an experienced Application Support Engineer to tackle both development and maintenance tasks. You will provide hands-on support in SQL Server, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance applications using .NET technologies. This role requires a commitment to operational excellence while balancing development and support duties across various applications and technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications with C# and .NET Framework
  • Analyze and resolve production issues for application stability
  • Handle ticket-driven incidents, changes, and maintenance tasks
  • Design RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Create and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in Microsoft application development
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and Azure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for applications and APIs
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
