General Manager - Winery

GM – Winery: Kelowna Area, BC

An exceptional Okanagan winery is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead its hospitality team. Set on a beautiful vineyard property, this is an opportunity to create memorable guest experiences in one of British Columbia’s most celebrated food and wine regions.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:

• Provide overall leadership and management of the property, including the restaurant, tasting bar and wine store
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop a high-performing hospitality team.
• Elevate the guest experience while driving restaurant, wine and wine-club sales.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Develop and maintain service standards and operating procedures.
• Coordinate menus, features and special events with the culinary and events teams.
• Build productive relationships with suppliers and service partners.
• Lead menu, beverage, and pricing reviews
• Own the P&L, budgets, forecasting and labor/cost controls

You should have the following in your background to apply:

• At least five years of restaurant or hospitality experience.
• Previous winery experience.
• Proven experience leading and developing hospitality teams.
• Outstanding communication, customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for food, wine and hospitality.
• Serving It Right and WHMIS certifications.
• WSET Level 2 or higher is preferred; training may be available.
• First Aid Level 1 certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
