Salary range (but not limited to):

80,700 - 98,700

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Claims Adjuster, Property to join our growing team in our Mississauga, Ajax, and Ottawa office !

What you'll do here:

• Investigate, manage and settle personal and commercial property claims on the Complex Claims Team

• Direct handle all condominium assessment claims

• Direct handle lower severity commercial specialty program claims

• Examine out of province commercial and personal claims

• Utilize the Best Practices to ensure claim management and regulatory requirements are followed

• Conduct analysis of coverages and quantum

• Manage indemnity and expenses by following reserving practices and proactive claim progression

• Provide high quality servicing to internal and external customers

• Work with Brokers on claim resolution and inquiries

• Ensure timely follow up with customers on the status of their claim and address any escalations

• Assign and direct the activities of independent adjusters where required

• Identify, assign and manage expert involvement on claims; being mindful of claim cost control measures

• Settle claims expeditiously in a fair and reasonable manner

• Validate damages

What you bring to the table:

• University degree or college diploma preferred, or equivalent education and experience

• Minimum 1-2 years property claims handling experience

• Condominium claim experience is an asset

• Commercial property claim experience is an asset
