Power Systems Engineer for Transmission Planning

Jacobs

Join Jacobs as a Power Systems Engineer focusing on Transmission Planning. This role is critical in shaping resilient energy grids for future energy demands. You will closely engage with global power systems teams on essential projects, ensuring successful integration of large loads while meeting decarbonization goals. Strong technical skills and understanding of industry standards are crucial for this position. Key Responsibilities:

Execute steady-state and transient power system evaluations
Support business development through project proposals
Collaborate with utility teams for project success
Participate in relevant ISO/RTO stakeholder discussions
Foster relationships with cross-functional teams globally

Requirements:

Master's degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering
4+ years of experience in power system studies
Familiarity with one of the regional system operators
Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards
Strong communication and teamwork skills
