Senior Grid Analytics Engineer

Advance grid analytics with AESO using Python and machine learning in a hybrid work environment supporting Alberta’s power system.As a Senior Engineer or Senior Analyst, you will expand data-driven analytics across the Grid Analytics team. You will develop business intelligence platforms, analytical applications, and power system AI/ML solutions. Your work will inform reliability practices, system operations, planning, and market decisions.Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement cross-functional business intelligence platformsConduct advanced analytics and communicate actionable findingsDevelop tools for simulations and operational forecastsAdvance machine learning and agentic AI applicationsConduct congestion and probabilistic engineering assessmentsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative disciplineTen or more years of relevant experienceAdvanced Python proficiency for analytical applicationsExperience developing business intelligence and visualization platformsExperience with machine learning or agentic AIApply your engineering expertise, Python proficiency, and analytics experience to strengthen AESO’s transmission-system decision-making capabilities.
