Haul Truck Trainer

We are seeking a Haul Truck Trainer to support our Training team by ensuring haul truck operator competency training at the assigned site through practical training, classroom training, mentoring, and evaluations. What You'll Be Doing

• Ensure all applicable personnel on the assigned site have completed the required training requirements for their assigned position. This can include but is not limited to CBLs, Client training, SOP reviews and manufacturer specific training.
• Conduct Haul Truck training and complete competency evaluations. Assist in providing equipment training to maintenance.
• Follow up on operator abuse issues (i.e. VIMS, Telematics), provide coaching and recommendations.
• Ensure the company’s training program is implemented and followed at the assigned site.
• Ensure Haul Truck mentors are delivering training as per company standards.
• Maintain onboarding log and update crew designations weekly where applicable.
• Submit weekly reports on-time and complete, as requested.
• Utilize the LMS for theory delivery, record keeping, and training reports.

What Makes You The ONE

• 2 years of operating experience on mechanical haul trucks in a mining environment. Experience on electric trucks is considered a strong asset. Experience on articulating trucks is considered a strong asset.
• 1+ years of operational crew coaching, Lead Hand or supervisory experience, or a combination of all three types of experience.
• Experience on additional mining and support equipment (i.e. wheel loader, light plants, fuel and lube service) is considered an asset.
• Post secondary education considered an asset.
• Registered Professional Trainer designation considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application software and training application software (LMS).
• Good organizational and communication skills, specifically written, verbal and public-speaking skills.
