You Are:

You have spent years building AI systems that have to scale across an enterprise, not just work in a lab notebook. You know the difference between a GenAI demo that impresses in a boardroom and a platform that actually survives production traffic, compliance audits, and the reality of 50 teams trying to use it at once. You have learned that the hardest part of architecture is not drawing the boxes, it is getting everyone to agree on what goes inside them and why.

You think in systems, not features. When someone asks for a new AI capability, you are already mapping dependencies, security boundaries, and what breaks if this scales 10x. You have sat in rooms with executives translating business outcomes into technical strategy, and in rooms with engineers translating that strategy into something they can actually build. You do not need perfect requirements. You ask the right questions, build consensus across teams that do not always agree, and move forward without creating chaos downstream.

You have a point of view on what good AI architecture looks like, and you are not afraid to push back when a proposal introduces fragmentation or technical debt. At Synopsys, you will shape platforms that power AI-driven products across a 30,000-person company, and the decisions you make will matter for years.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Define and evolve enterprise-scale blueprints for GenAI, agentic AI, and AI infrastructure platforms that multiple business units can adopt and extend
• Architect reference implementations for scalable, secure, reliable AI systems, including LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, and model deployment pipelines
• Drive cross-functional alignment on standards, architectural decision records, and governance models that reduce fragmentation and prevent technical debt from accumulating
• Partner directly with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into executable architectures for critical AI programs and customer-facing deployments
• Establish and enforce governance frameworks for security, compliance, and platform lifecycle management across distributed AI workloads
• Engage with hyperscalers, AI vendors, and strategic partners to shape roadmaps, evaluate integrations, and represent Synopsys in technical discussions
• Mentor senior architects and engineers, conducting architecture reviews and raising the bar for systems thinking and long-term design quality across the organization

What You'll Need:

• Deep expertise in GenAI, LLMs, agentic AI patterns, and AI/ML platform design, with a track record of architecting systems that handle real production workloads
• Strong background in infrastructure-native architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms, ideally with experience in high-availability or regulated environments
• Proven ability to design and influence enterprise-scale architectures that span multiple teams, business units, or product lines
• Solid understanding of security, compliance, and governance requirements for AI and infrastructure platforms, including model risk, data privacy, and auditability
• Exceptional communication skills with both executives and engineering teams, you can explain a complex tradeoff to a VP in two sentences without losing the nuance
• Thought leadership in the form of architecture reviews, technical publications, patents, or conference talks is a strong plus
• Experience working with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and engaging with AI vendors or strategic technology partners
• Typically 15+ years in software engineering, architecture, or platform development, including 8+ years delivering large-scale infrastructure-native systems

The Team You'll Be Part Of:

You will join a team of senior architects and platform engineers advancing Synopsys AI infrastructure and ecosystem platforms. The team focuses on scalable, secure GenAI and agentic AI systems, with strong emphasis on collaboration, mentorship, and enterprise-wide architectural excellence.
