Backend Api Lead Developer Toronto

Backend API leadership defines this Toronto-based Senior Lead Software Engineer position supporting IBM Safer Payments. Candidates need seven to ten years of software development experience.This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert for IBM Safer Payments and its payment processing systems. You will lead architecture, build backend services, and collaborate across teams on technical specifications. Database systems, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture are central technical requirements.Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical design for scalable software solutionsDevelop backend services and APIs for IBM Safer PaymentsGather requirements with cross-functional teamsImplement testing, documentation, and deployment practicesStay current with payment and IBM technologiesRequirements:
Seven to ten years focusing on backend and API developmentExperience as a lead developer or technical architectKnowledge of SQL or NoSQL database management systemsFamiliarity with cloud platforms and microservices architectureAgile methodology and DevOps practice experience preferredBring backend APIs, architecture leadership, and payment systems knowledge to IBM Safer Payments development in Toronto.
