Akams mission is to make digital experiences fast, intelligent, and secure. The Identity Engineering team delivers zero‑trust enterprise security. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to develop scalable backend systems, proxies, and load balancers. Responsibilities Design and build scalable backend applications for next‑generation identity solutions. Collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality features. Conduct design reviews and partner with QA to deploy production code. Collaborate across the organization with Data Science, Product, and Operations to build innovative components of our Big Data AI solutions. Solve complex technical challenges proactively with a high success rate. Participate actively in agile SCRUM planning and technical team meetings. Optimize and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. 5+ years in backend engineering roles, including 3+ years coding in Python, Go, or similar languages. 3+ years designing systems, writing/reviewing code, and automating issues within the team's domain. 1+ year of experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), Windows Server, and Active Directory. Experience working with Linux systems and designing schemas for both relational and NoSQL databases. Understanding of large‑scale production systems, load balancing, monitoring, and distributed systems. Exceptional communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies. Experience participating in an on‑call rotation to support production backend effectively. #J-18808-Ljbffr
