Contract Data Bricks Engineering Specialist

Drive innovation as a Senior Data Bricks/Scala/Spark Engineering Specialist in Montreal. Oversee the migration of legacy ETL processes to a modern Databricks and Snowflake infrastructure. You will work on a 12-month contract where hands-on expertise is essential for designing and testing production pipelines that comply with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Architect data flows using Databricks and Snowflake
• Write efficient Spark applications with Scala
• Analyze and extract requirements from complex SQL
• Create automated tools for data quality checking
• Manage large-scale migrations from on-prem to cloud

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Scala and Spark in production
• Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake performance optimization
• Familiarity with Azure resources and orchestrations
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and TDD
• Experience in the financial services industry is beneficial
