Family Assistant / Household Manager - Verdun

We are a busy family of four with two school-aged boys, looking for a warm, reliable and organized person to help make our afternoons and evenings run more smoothly. We are ideally looking for someone who enjoys taking care of a household and is comfortable moving between cooking, light household tasks and helping with children. We would love to find someone who becomes a consistent part of our family’s routine and gets to know how our household works. The role would include:

• Preparing family dinners and gradually learning some of our regular family recipes
• Preparing simple grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches for the adults
• Baking something for the family once or twice a week
• Light grocery shopping or picking up ingredients when something is missing
• Keeping the kitchen clean and organized
• Laundry, including washing, folding and putting clothes away
• General tidying and light household cleaning
• Helping keep the household organized and on top of everyday tasks
• Being available when the children come home from school: preparing snacks, helping them settle in, keeping them on track with homework and getting them fed and ready for the evening

We are not looking for a traditional nanny. Our children are school-aged and increasingly independent. What we really need is another capable set of hands during the busiest part of the day — someone who can see what needs to be done and help keep both the household and the children moving. We are looking for someone who is kind and comfortable with children, but equally importantly, someone who is proactive, organized and genuinely enjoys cooking and taking care of a home. We live in Verdun and are easily accessible by metro. Ideally, we are looking for help approximately 4–5 afternoons/evenings per week, with some flexibility depending on the person’s availability.
