The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining tool crib inventory and supplies, housekeeping and repair of small tools and equipment.If you are mechanically inclined; embrace challenges, and thrive in an environment that values hard work and integrity, Finning may be the next opportunity for you.Wage: $35.88 / hrShift: 7x7 continuous shiftPaid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation & Sick time6% Employer paid pension, plus up to 1% additional6% voluntary Employee Share Purchase, earns 2% Finning match100% Employer paid medical benefitsCAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by FinningBasic FunctionsDay-to-day repair of small tools and equipment, ensure they meet safety guidelines and standardsMaintain accurate and detailed records of usage, returns and stock levelsTrack and coordinate tool maintenance, maintain accurate records of inventory levelsStock shop supplies and shop supply cabinets in a timely manner.Housekeeping and Contamination Control, ensure tool crib and staging areas are clean and organized for easy accessTrack tooling and repair costs, act as the main contact for suppliers for tool and supply orders.Other duties as required.Specific SkillsCompletion of grade 12, solid understanding of tool repair and/or tool maintenanceBasic understanding of inventory controlSelf-starter able to follow directions, work well with others and has the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a safe team environmentExcellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with minimal supervisioninterpersonal and communication skills with ability to work under minimal supervisionCustomer focused , ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customersPrevious building maintenance and shipping/receiving experience will be considered assetsComputer experience coupled with DBS and SIS will also be considered assetsImportant DetailsThis position is based out of Prince George, on a 7x7 continuous shift rotationUnion Membership: This is a unionized position.
