Financial Management Officer

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing accounting
operations, coordinating budgeting and financial planning activities, and ensuring the accuracy and
integrity of financial reporting. The Financial Officer provides financial analysis and
recommendations to support decision-making, contributes to the continuous improvement of
financial processes and controls, and supports the finance team through leadership, collaboration,
and professional guidance.
Responsabilities :
Lead and oversee the organization's accounting operations.
Coordinate financial planning activities.
Prepare and analyze financial reports and performances indicators.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, funding
agreements, and statutory filing obligations.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial controls, systems, policies, and
business processes.
Provide financial guidance and support to managers and stakeholders.
Support and collaborate with the finance team by fostering a culture of accountability,
continuous improvement, and excellence in financial stewardship while performing other
related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or another relevant
university discipline.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in accounting, financial management,
budgeting, or financial analysis, preferably within the healthcare or not-for-profit sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and
financial management systems.
Knowledge of MédiSolution and Avantage applications is considered an asset.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, financial reporting
tools, and data analysis software.
CPA designation or active membership in the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants
is considered a strong asset.
Knowledge of the health and social services network is considered an asset.
