As a Bank Security Guard, you’ll play an important role in protecting employees, customers, and the facility. You’ll monitor the premises, control access, conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and provide a professional security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities for Bank Security Guard
- Maintain a visible security presence while monitoring the bank premises for suspicious or unusual activity
- Respond quickly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and potential threats
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the facility to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and the premises
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorization when required
- Monitor security systems, alarms, cameras, and other security equipment for potential issues or security concerns
- Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation
- Provide professional and courteous customer service while assisting employees and visitors with security-related inquiries
- Liaise with bank management, emergency services, and law enforcement when required
- Identify and report potential security risks, hazards, equipment issues, or vulnerabilities
- Perform other security-related duties as required
Qualifications for Bank Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC security license
- First aid certification - an asset
- Strong report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
