Veterinarian For Emergency Care At Wcvm Saskatoon

Provide critical care to small and exotic animals as a Veterinarian at the WCVM, University of Saskatchewan. Focus on emergency management, supervision, and mentorship in a cooperative teaching workplace. The WCVM is seeking an Emergency and Urgent Care Veterinarian to ensure high-quality care for animals in urgent need.

In this role, you’ll manage cases in a hands-on teaching setting, working closely with students, interns, and specialists. Your efforts will contribute significantly to the clinical learning experience while promoting effective communication and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver urgent care to client-owned animals
• Oversee hospitalized patient care in acute settings
• Promote effective communication and collaboration
• Maintain accurate medical documentation
• Mentor veterinary students and technicians

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• Licensed with the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association
• Minimum two years of clinical experience
• Experience in teaching or mentorship
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
