At Finning, the world’s largest Caterpillar deal, we are looking for two experienced Mining Technical Service Representatives – Shovels and Drills to support our mining customers across Canada.
In this role you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for shovel and drill fleets, helping customer improve equipment reliability, availability, and performance. Working closely with mine team, you will perform equipment audits, provide technical recommendations, coordinate service support and ensure equipment operation and maintenance align with Caterpillar OEM standards.

We anticipate the starting base salary for this position will be between $115 - $125k, with an addition of a short term incentive plan. Actual salary will be based on the candidate’s experience.
Job Description:
Build strong relationships with mining customers and act as a trusted technical advisorSchedule and conduct customer site visits, equipment inspections and technical reviewsAssess shovel and drill machine health and provide detailed analysis and recommendationsPrepare customer reports and communicate opportunities to improve reliability and performanceCoordinate with Finning’s Parts and Service teams to ensure required components and support are delivered on timeIdentify potential equipment issues before failures occur and recommend corrective actionCollaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and operational support
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, Engineer, or equivalent mining equipment experienceMinimum 5 years of customer-facing experience in mining, heavy equipment or industrial operationsValid class 5 drivers licenseStrong knowledge of shovels and drillsCaterpillar equipment experience is considered a strong assetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organization, planning and time management abilitiesStrong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction
Important Notes:
This position may be based out of Edmonton, AB or British ColumbiaThis position is on a 7x7 shift rotation
