Web Developer / CMS Developer, Municipal and Public Sector Websites (Contract, Anticipated)

PS Consulters delivers website design, build, hosting, and maintenance projects for municipal and public sector clients across Canada, and is expanding its delivery bench ahead of a strong pipeline of web work: single-municipality redesigns, multi-site programs where one platform serves many small municipalities, and large replatforming projects consolidating aging site portfolios onto modern, accessible stacks. Public sector web work has a specific character worth understanding before applying. Accessibility is not a nice-to-have; WCAG 2.x AA conformance is contractual and tested. Content belongs to communications teams, so editorial experience must be genuinely usable by non-technical staff. And launches are followed by years of maintenance, which means the developer who builds carelessly inherits the consequences. PS Consulters looks for developers who treat those constraints as craft rather than friction.

Projects are contracted through PS Consulters at competitive market rates, hourly or per-deliverable depending on the project; applicants state rate expectations. All delivery is remote. This is an anticipated contract role tied to an active public sector procurement. Start dates depend on award and onboarding timelines. Qualified applicants are contacted as soon as the engagement is confirmed, and strong profiles are kept on file and matched against similar upcoming roles with consent.

Applications are reviewed by a practitioner, not a keyword filter; short, specific cover notes describing directly relevant work are read and valued.

About PS Consulters

PS Consulters is the consulting brand of PMS Analytics, a Canadian software consulting and resourcing firm. PS Consulters places senior technology contractors with public sector and enterprise clients across Canada and delivers software projects as a prime contractor. The firm is built and run by practitioners: engagements are scoped by people who have done the work, candidates are represented accurately, and consultants in the field are supported by a principal who reviews deliverables and stands behind them.

PS Consulters welcomes applications from all qualified candidates, including members of visible minority communities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and newcomers to Canada with eligible work status. Accommodation during the recruitment process is available on request.
