Infection
Control Specialists focus on preventing and controlling infections within
healthcare settings through policy development and education.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement
infection prevention protocols. - Monitor infection rates and
investigate outbreaks. - Educate healthcare staff on
infection control practices. - Collaborate with the public health agencies and healthcare providers.
- Stay updated on guidelines and best practices
for infection control.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
or a related field; certification in infection control (CIC) preferred. - Experience in infection
control or epidemiology. - Strong attention to detail
and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
