The Site

Pond Inlet is a remote community on the northern coast of Baffin Island in Nunavut, reached by air. This is fly-in fly-out work. Welders and pipefitters are on the same job site, so you will work alongside the other trade.

What You'll Do

• Weld to the drawings and weld procedures provided for the job
• Tack and weld material and assemblies to the job's quality standard
• Prep joints and keep the work clean and ready to weld
• Work alongside the pipefitters on site
• Check your own welds and support inspection and testing of finished work
• Take part in hazard assessments and safety meetings, and follow site safety procedures

• Proven welding experience
• The ability to read drawings and weld to procedure
• Willingness to work fly-in fly-out in a remote Nunavut community
• A safety-first approach and a team-first attitude on a shared site
