Executive Housekeeper

Executive Housekeeper (NOC 62021)

Southern Lakes Resort is an off-grid property, remotely located approx. 1.5hrs Southeast of Whitehorse, YT.

We are looking to expand our team by adding a versatile, reliable, punctual and dedicated person as a Executive Housekeeper.

Main duties are:

- Manage the operations of the housekeeping department

- Plan and co-ordinate the activities of housekeeping staff

- Make sure that standards and health and safety regulations are being met

- Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals

- Maintain inventory and select and order equipment and supplies

- Maintain and repair of equipment and machinery or arrange this

- Hire, train and supervise housekeeping staff

- Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff

- Respond to complaints of guests

- Prepare payroll

Requirements

Education:

- Completion of secondary school

Experiences:

- experience as an Executive Housekeeper

- minimum 5 months experience as a Housekeeper

- Experience in handling vehicles in snow and ice is required, as our cabins are accessible via icy/snowy access roads in winter.

- Experience working in remote settings for extended periods of time

Languages:

English

Specific skills:

- Understanding of remote operations and familiar with Northern climate

- Understanding and previous exposure to other cultures (Europe, South America, far East)

- Candidate must be able to organize and execute work independently, maintain departmental standards and follow health and safety procedures. Training in health and safety is an asset.

- Drivers licence class 5

- Effective interpersonal skills

- Excellent oral and written communication

- Able to work physically in sitting and standing positions; able to walk between cabins

- Used to working under stress due to tight deadline in fast-paced environment
