Architect backend applications for routing and task allocationTrack fulfillment status and determine shopper compensationLead technical design for high-impact logistics initiativesMaintain reliable, observable Tier-0 systems with clear ownershipMentor engineers on testing and operational practicesRequirements:
Five or more years of backend development experienceFluency in Ruby, Python, Go, or another backend languageKnowledge of REST, RPC, databases, and distributed systemsExperience operating asynchronous, event-driven production systemsBachelor’s, master’s, or equivalent practical experienceShape Instacart’s logistics infrastructure through backend engineering, scalable system design, asynchronous systems, and reliable operations.
