We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary medical support for our veterinarians, delivering a gold standard of care to our patients while communicating effectively and empathetically with pet owners. You will utilize your advanced training to perform laboratory tests, assist in surgery, monitor anesthesia, and provide exceptional nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Patient Nursing

• Patient assessment: Obtain and record accurate patient medical histories, weights, and vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Medication administration: Calculate, prepare, and administer medications, vaccines, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Nursing care: Provide specialized nursing care for hospitalized, injured, or ill patients, including wound care and bandaging.
• Emergency response: Assist veterinarians in treating animals during critical triage and emergency situations

Surgical & Anesthetic Support

• Surgical prep: Prepare patients, sterile surgical instruments, and operating rooms for procedures.
• Anesthesia management: Induce, maintain, and monitor anesthesia under veterinary direction, tracking vital signs closely during and after surgery.
• Surgical assistance: Assist the veterinarian during surgical procedures and manage post-operative recovery nursing.

Laboratory & Diagnostics

• Sample collection: Collect blood, urine, feces, and tissue specimens from patients safely and compassionately.
• In-house testing: Run diagnostic laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry profiles, urinalysis, and cytology.
• Diagnostic imaging: Position patients and capture high-quality digital radiographs (X-rays) or assist with ultrasound imaging while maintaining radiation safety protocols.

Dentistry

• Dental prophylaxis: Perform routine dental cleanings, charting, and ultrasonic scaling.
• Dental imaging: Take and develop intraoral dental radiographs.

Client Education & Administration

• Client communication: Educate pet parents on preventative healthcare (vaccines, parasite control), nutrition, and post-operative home care.
• Record keeping: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date electronic medical records and logs.
• Pharmacy & Inventory: Dispense prescriptions and assist in managing pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
