Senior Buyer for District Procurement

Elevate procurement at School District No. 40 as a Senior Buyer, focusing on construction and maintenance. Utilize your expertise to manage purchasing processes and vendor relationships effectively. Reporting to the Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, this specialized role demands advanced procurement knowledge and problem-solving skills. Responsible for handling tenders, analyzing bids, and maintaining supplier performance, the Senior Buyer collaborates closely with various departments. This expert-level position also includes financial analysis and strategic procurement planning. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate public tenders and manage procurement activities
- Approve purchase orders for materials and services
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and quality evaluations
- Analyze data for cost projections and purchasing strategies
- Provide training on procurement practices to staff
- SCMP Designation or equivalent certification
- Minimum three years of procurement experience
- Familiarity with public sector purchasing principles
- Strong data analysis and recommendation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement technologies
