Director of Philanthropy at RHF

Lead impactful fundraising initiatives as the Director of Philanthropy for the Rideau Hall Foundation in Ottawa. This role focuses on developing major donor relationships and securing transformative gifts. As the newly established Director of Philanthropy, you will manage a key portfolio of principal and major gift prospects across Canada, with a current focus on Quebec and Atlantic regions. Your efforts will directly contribute to the RHF’s mission, engaging high-net-worth individuals and foundations in meaningful partnerships through tailored strategies and stewardship. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a major gift donor portfolio
- Develop individual cultivation and solicitation strategies
- Secure philanthropic investments through engagement
- Maintain accurate forecasts and donor plans in CRM
- Build multi-year fundraising strategies for engagement
- Minimum 8 years in progressive fundraising roles
- Proven success in securing five to seven-figure gifts
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Bilingual in French and English required
- Experience with donor management systems
