Shape the future of parks and trails at Cowichan Valley Regional District as Senior Manager. Drive effective operations to foster community recreational development in Duncan, BC. As the Senior Manager for the Parks & Trails Division, you will lead a passionate team in the formulation and execution of programs that enhance the region’s natural and recreational landscape. This leadership role includes independent authority for managing park and trail systems, budgeting, and project initiatives that align with CVRD’s strategic goals while ensuring community involvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of parks and trails
- Direct park land acquisition and development efforts
- Develop and monitor community parks master plans
- Guide budget preparation and grant proposals
- Lead initiatives for effective communications with stakeholders
- Degree in Resource Management or related field
- Minimum 6 years in parks management
- Two years’ supervisory or management experience
- Background in policy, planning, and project management
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
