Nanny Wanted - Timberlea Area French & English Family Seeking Experienced Nanny For Toddler January 2027, Through At Least June, $22/Hour

We are a Halifax family seeking a reliable, caring and engaged nanny for our son, starting in January 2027. The position is guaranteed through at least June 2027. Our son will be approximately 14 months old when the position begins. The primary responsibility will be providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care in a safe and nurturing environment. Typical duties will include preparing and serving his meals and snacks, following his nap routine, diaper changes, indoor and outdoor play, reading, age-appropriate activities, and outings such as walks or visits to local parks and playgroups. One parent works from home and will generally be present during the day. However, work hours need to be treated as dedicated work time, and the nanny will have primary responsibility for our son during the agreed hours. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently while a parent is in the home. We would also expect light child-related household duties, including cleaning up after meals and activities, washing his dishes, tidying his play areas, and helping with his laundry as needed. General household cleaning is not expected. We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience caring for infants or young toddlers
• Is dependable, patient, warm and attentive
• Is comfortable preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks
• Understands age-appropriate development and safe sleep practices
• Has current first aid and CPR certification, or is willing to obtain it
• Can provide strong references
• Is legally authorized to work in Canada

The anticipated rate is $22 per hour, with some flexibility depending on experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of duties.
