Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Overview:
Cozy Nest Care Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while promoting residents' comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans.
-Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
-Conduct resident assessments and promptly report changes in condition.
-Assist with pain management and contribute to individualized care planning.
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and observations.
-Collaborate with physicians, RNs, healthcare aides, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
-Follow infection prevention and control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
-Support residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being through compassionate care.

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
-Experience in long-term care or senior care is an asset.
-Knowledge of pain management practices is an asset.
-Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-focused care.

Education & Certifications:
-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation required.
-Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
-Bachelor's degree in a related field is considered an asset.
