Respite Support Worker

Support Worker/ Caregiver/Respite
We’re looking for compassionate, dependable, experienced Support Workers to support children and young adults ages 2–17.
Multiple roles are available, with a range of schedules: ***Evening and weekend shifts***Before- and/or after-school care
***Full-day care on professional development days and school breaks Duties vary depending on each client’s needs.
- Provide respite care and daily support.
- Follow each client’s care plan.
- Administer medication as directed.
- Prepare meals that meet dietary needs.
- Assist with mobility and transfers.
- Support G-tube care when required.
- Offer companionship and encouragement.
- Plan fun, age-appropriate activities.
- Community outings
- Encourage independence and confidence.
- Provide attentive supervision.
- Keep the client’s environment safe and tidy.
- Share important updates with families.
- Report changes in health or behaviour.
- Respect each client’s privacy and dignity.
- Physical ability to lift and assist with mobility, as required
