Attendance Counsellor Resource Developer (3 summer positions)

Location: To be determined

Hours: To be determined at the time of hire (minimum of 35 hours and maximum of 60 hours throughout the duration of the designated project)

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education in social services or related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mental health-informed attendance resources to support student re-engagement
  • Create parent/guardian materials linking attendance, well-being, and available supports
  • Design tools for early identification, wellness check-ins, and brief interventions
  • Support development of referral processes to connect students to mental health services
  • Contribute to attendance protocols with a trauma-informed and equity lens
  • Develop re-engagement and return-to-school resources for students with mental health-related absences
  • Create staff resources and learning materials to support student mental health and attendance
  • Integrate community supports and referral pathways into resources
  • Use data to identify trends, monitor progress, and guide resource development

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $34.59 per hour
