Associate Technical Product Manager

Job Responsibility:

The associate technical product manger is responsible for driving technical development and feasibility and viability of products across Jazwares portfolio. Assess the viability of new concepts, support new ideation with proven and established technology. Ensure the development is kept on spec, and on budget. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in the process of developing products from ideation to production.

What you'll do:

• Provide preliminary feasibility for high complexity items to respective internal stake holders
• Mentor / assist PM team throughout execution of the products from ideation to production
• Manage development of new concepts to time, cost, and quality and reconcile against development objectives
• Supporting manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development
• Partner with product management to provide appropriate solutions in development plans or processes and provide new development path as necessary
• Identify, anticipate, and manage risks or issues prior to each development milestone, and provide alternate process solutions. Report and escalate potential red flags to management as needed with defined plans and resolutions
• Update all key product development/project management documents and systems daily
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Interfacing with key vendors/suppliers and Asia product managers, to ensure a smooth business process
• Ensure that all outsourced work is quoted in a timely fashion and approved prior to work performed
• Perform other duties as assigned

What we look for:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other technical design degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, or engineering preferrable in consumer packaged goods
• 1+ years of experience in working with oversees manufacturing
• Experience working with plastics, metals, and related manufacturing

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong technical aptitude, as it relates to consumer goods development
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop productive and professional relationships
• Familiarity with CAD and other technical review and design programs (Solidworks preferred)
• Able to work cross functionally, collaboratively, and reciprocally with multiple departments
• Self-Motivated, and a self-starter
• Being curious and humble working with other experts in the company
• Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Can easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time

• Ability to gain an in-depth knowledge of toy grade technologies, plastics
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision makers
