Elementary School Teacher Mount Cheam Christian School Location Chilliwack, BC Salary 55,000 to 75,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 2,000 hours per year Full time Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Other benefits Languages English Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience 5 years or more Work must be completed at the physical Location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting Private school Responsibilities: Attend educational conferences and workshops Discuss results and students’ progress with them, their parents and school officials Evaluate and document students’ progress Participate in educational conferences and teacher training workshops Participate in staff meetings Supervise teaching assistants and train student teachers Assign and correct homework Develop course content Identify childrens' individual learning needs Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readiness Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum Prepare, administer and correct tests Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations and field trips Supervise, plan and administer programs of religious education Provide religious education, spiritual guidance and moral support Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate Additional information Security and safety Criminal record check Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Combination of sitting, standing, walking Fast-paced environment Large workload Work under pressure Benefits Other benefits Free parking available Team building opportunities Until: 2026-06-24
