Custodial Services Worker

As a Custodial Services worker on our team at the Michelin Tire Plant in Bridgewater, NS, you’ll take on the important job of keeping our operations and locations clean, so that our customers can stay happy and healthy. Job Responsibilities

• General cleaning, including, but not limited to shop floor cleaning, trash removal; cleaning restrooms, offices, cafeteria; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; buffing floors; disinfecting; stripping and waxing floors; window washing; ensuring entryways are free from hazards etc.
• Maintain high degree of professionalism when working with team members, clients and customers
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies, notifying management when supplies are needed
• Ensure all chemicals and cleaners are properly stored in accordance with WHMIS and HSE guidelines
• Adhere to all Aramark and Michelin policies and processes
• Contribute to positive workplace culture by assisting team members when needed, helping to train new team members and participating in team activities and events
• Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ years janitorial experience is preferred
• Valid WHMIS Certification and/or First Aid Certification is an asset
• Must be able to crouch; bend neck, back, and torso from waist to floor; and twist from left to right with minimal restriction
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift minimum 30lbs
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
• Maintains regular attendance

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
