Store Manager

Our client is an established Canadian specialty apparel retailer seeking a Store Manager to lead its Saskatoon location. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a hands-on retail leadership opportunity for a commercially minded manager who enjoys developing people, driving sales and creating an exceptional in-store customer experience. The Store Manager will take ownership of overall store performance, working alongside the team on the sales floor while ensuring strong execution across sales, service, merchandising, inventory and daily operations.



Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall performance of the store, with accountability for sales, productivity and customer experience.
• Coach the sales team through regular observation, feedback and hands-on development on the floor.
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop employees while creating a positive, accountable and performance-oriented culture.
• Establish a customer-first environment and ensure the team consistently delivers knowledgeable, personalized service.
• Identify individual development opportunities and provide in-the-moment coaching to strengthen selling and customer-service skills.
• Manage store payroll and scheduling to appropriately support business requirements.
• Maintain company merchandising, visual presentation and store standards.
• Ensure incoming inventory is received, organized and presented efficiently.
• Develop strong product knowledge and ensure the team can confidently advise customers on product, style and fit.
• Monitor store performance and take action to capitalize on sales opportunities.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and use customer and employee feedback to improve the store experience.
• Stay aware of local competitors, retail trends and market activity.
• Maintain an organized, professional and welcoming store environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail leadership experience; Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or comparable experience would be highly relevant.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop a sales-oriented retail team.
• Strong customer-service instincts with a genuine interest in helping customers find the right products.
• Commercial mindset with an understanding of sales targets, productivity and payroll management.
• Comfortable working directly on the sales floor and leading by example.
• Strong communication, organization and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving retail environment.
• Interest in apparel, fashion, styling or specialty retail is an asset.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.

We are looking for someone who operates like an owner rather than simply managing a schedule.
The successful candidate will be visible on the floor, comfortable selling alongside the team and capable of developing employees into stronger salespeople. They will understand that strong retail performance comes from the combination of great people leadership, disciplined store operations and an exceptional customer experience.
