Enhance community health as an Environmental Public Health Officer across Ontario with Indigenous Services Canada. Engage with First Nations, conduct inspections, and deliver vital public health recommendations. We are seeking an Environmental Public Health Officer (EG-06) to work collaboratively across various Ontario locations including Brantford and Toronto. Ideal candidates will have expertise in public health, environmental inspections, and community engagement. This role demands a degree in Health Sciences or equivalent experience, complemented by a Public Health Inspection certificate. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct environmental public health inspections and investigations
• Monitor water quality and wastewater for health risks
• Provide education and guidance to First Nations' leadership
• Engage in committee leadership and community-focused activities
• Brief management and deliver training on public health issues Requirements:
• Degree in Health Sciences or equivalent experience
• Public Health Inspection certificate required
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Reliability status security clearance
• Flexibility to travel to remote communities Shape public health services and create impactful health strategies in Ontario's First Nation communities.
