Shape OPTrust’s public reputation through policy analysis and media relations as a Senior Public Affairs Advisor in Toronto’s hybrid workplace.This 12-month contract manages external reputation among media, stakeholders, Sponsors, and policy makers. You will advance advocacy strategy, support reputation management, and lead outreach for OPTrust Select. The work connects pension policy, investment activity, communications, and strategic growth.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor pension policy, investment activity, and geopolitical developmentsBrief senior management and Trustees on emerging issuesDevelop media relations strategies and strategic responsesPrepare consultation submissions and communication materialsLead OPTrust Select outreach and external eventsRequirements:
Minimum eight years in government or public affairsHonours BA in political science, communications, economics, or related fieldExperience developing advocacy campaigns or supporting business developmentUnderstanding of pension policy, government, media, economics, and investmentsStrong research, strategic thinking, public speaking, and communication skillsApply public affairs expertise, political acumen, and pension policy knowledge to strengthen OPTrust’s reputation and advocacy strategy.
