Join Our Team as a Specialist - Corporate Safety Permanent | Full‑Time | On site Starting at $83,240/year | Relocation assistance available We are currently hiring a Corporate Safety Specialist to support our organization. In this role, you'll help create safe, healthy, and resilient environments for employees, visitors, and the community. While supporting internal departments, you'll play a key role in identifying and managing risk, strengthening a culture of safety, and helping ensure the services our community relies on are delivered safely and effectively.You'll partner with leaders and frontline employees to identify risks, implement practical safety solutions, and support emergency preparedness and business continuity efforts. Your work will directly contribute to safer workplaces, positive visitor experiences, and the sustainable delivery of recreation services, parks operations, and community programs that residents rely on every day.This is an exciting opportunity to influence how safety is integrated into daily operations, support continuous improvement initiatives, and make a meaningful impact on both employee wellbeing and community outcomes.How you'll own itPartner with departmental teams to create safe, healthy environments for employees, visitors, and the community. Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying risks, recommending practical solutions, and supporting continuous improvement. Lead investigations, inspections, and audits to strengthen safety performance and prevent future incidents. Provide guidance on health, safety, and operational risk management to support safe and effective service delivery. Develop and deliver training programs that build safety awareness, competency, and accountability. Support emergency management and business continuity efforts to help ensure organizational readiness and resilience. Monitor and improve safety programs, ensuring compliance while driving meaningful safety outcomes. Track and report safety performance to inform decision-making and support operational excellence.What you bringPractical expertise in Health, Safety, and Emergency Management systems.Strong communication and report-writing skills.Adaptability and initiative to solve safety challenges and drive improvements.Experience delivering safety training and competency programs.Proficiency in managing safety documentation.Ability to lead audits, inspections, and investigations. QualificationsCertificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or related field.5+ years' experience with Health & Safety and Emergency Management systems.Knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation.Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with a clean record.Auditor certification and experience is an asset.Why you'll love working with us We show up with accountability, care, and teamwork - every day, with every person.
