Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging Tour Guides to lead visitors through our mine site and teach gold-panning, providing an informative and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for sharing knowledge, and the ability to connect with diverse audiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership and teaching abilities while helping visitors explore and appreciate our site’s unique features.
Duties
• Lead guided tours for groups of varying sizes, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants
• Share detailed information about the site’s history, and how we placer mine
• Answer questions from visitors, providing additional insights and personalized attention
• Manage tour schedules efficiently to ensure timely departures and arrivals
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Assist with visitor inquiries and provide excellent customer service throughout the tour experience
• Educate visitors on safety protocols and ensure adherence during tours
Requirements
Class 4 drivers license or the ability to get one.
• Strong public speaking and communication skills with the ability to captivate an audience
• Experience in customer service, teaching, or guiding roles preferred
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse visitor base
• Excellent time management skills to coordinate tour schedules effectively
• Leadership qualities with the ability to manage groups confidently and responsibly
• Ability to convey information clearly and engagingly through effective storytelling and teaching techniques
• Professional appearance and friendly demeanor essential for creating a welcoming environment
