Rope Access Journeyperson Insulator

Tacten is seeking an experienced Rope Access Journeyperson Insulator to support our client, Cenovus, at the Christina Lake site on a long-term maintenance rotation. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering safe and efficient insulation maintenance in a high-performance environment. As a Rope Access Insulator, you’ll utilize your technical expertise and IRATA certification to perform work at height with precision, while upholding the highest safety standards.

Position Details

• Location Cenovus Christina Lake
• Position Type Long-Term Maintenance
• Schedule 7/7 rotation, 10 hours per day
• Start Date Positons starts in June
• Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
• Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
• Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
• Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
• Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
• Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
• Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
• Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.
• Journeyman Insulator or equivalent hours required
• IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.

Safety Certifications

• CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
