Product Lawyer at TransUnion Canada

Leverage your legal expertise as a Product Lawyer with TransUnion Canada in a hybrid role. Ensure that product development initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, notably PIPEDA and consumer reporting legislation. In this senior role, you will provide legal counsel throughout all phases of the product life cycle while addressing complex legal matters across the organization. Your collaborative skills and strong analytical abilities will be key as you work closely with teams in product development, marketing, and business, helping them strategize and mitigate legal risks. Key Responsibilities:
- Review products for compliance with Canadian legal obligations
- Advise on privacy impact assessments and risk strategies
- Counsel management on complex legal matters
- Draft and update product templates and privacy policies
- Support marketing during product launches and initiatives
- Bachelor of common law and 5-7 years as a lawyer
- Member of the Law Society of Ontario
- Knowledge of PIPEDA and privacy laws
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience in technology-focused legal counsel
