Our growing company is currently looking to hire an Automation & Programmer (Control System Specialist) to join our Exile team, based out of our Fort St. John office. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to be a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude and looks forward to growing personally and professionally. At CDN we take great pride in selecting employees who are team orientated, driven and eager to be successful in everything they do.As our Automation & Programming , you will be responsible to:
- Troubleshooting, upgrading, migration and or installation of SCADA, PLC and HMI Hardware for projects related to general maintenance or new construction facilities, including logic design and network configuration.
- Application of PLC Logic and related automation networks.
- Provide ongoing maintenance support for clients and hands on development for construction based projects.
- Prepare devices and I/O lists as well as construction support and commissioning assistance.
Qualifications Required:
- Journeyman Instrument Mechanic/Electrician with extensive Automation experience.
- 5-10 years of experience with Delta V and/or Allen Bradley Controls Systems. Previous experience with VTScada, Rockwell Automation, Emerson Automation, Industrial Networks, and SCADA would be a strong asset.
- Post Secondary Diploma in either Instrument Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automated System Engineering Technology or a Degree in Electrical Engineering (EIT OR P.Eng) is an asset.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Strong interpersonal skills, building positive and strong relationships with staff and clients.
- Ability to mentor junior colleagues.
- Familiarity with IT SCADA architectural standards.
- Highly proficient in Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows Server 8.
- Demonstrated organizational and documentation skills.
- Exceptional trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
- An analytical thinker with a logical thought process.
