About This Opportunity

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is a full‑time position located at the Bottling Production Facility in Calgary. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the supervisor oversees quality assurance activities in collaboration with production staff and ensures efficient and correct execution of quality practices.

• Shift/Hours: Various shifts, as required.
• Base salary range: $82,800 - $92,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall ingredients, product, and package quality to ensure all standards and specifications are met.
• Establish operational procedures in cooperation with Quality Assurance, Production & Maintenance teams.
• Ensure all QA equipment is in good operating order.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate, franchise, and regulatory policies, standards and guidelines.
• Monitor production processes; conduct periodic checks and adjust equipment as needed and troubleshoot processes.
• Manage QA Technicians in the QA lab and syrup room.
• Hire, train, evaluate, develop, and monitor QA employees.
• Maintain proper documentation for compliance; ensure all logs are accurately recorded.
• Perform internal audits on quality, food safety, safety and environmental standards as part of the management system.
• Manage water treatment and effluent treatment processes.
• Ensure all work activities meet Environmental Health & Safety Standards.
• Participate in and support external audits for quality and food safety certification.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related discipline.
• Strong organization, planning, and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience in an ISO/Food Safety environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems collaboratively.
• Labor relations/Union experience an asset.
• Knowledge and experience in water treatment systems in the food and beverage industry.
• HACCP and FSSC 22000 knowledge/experience.
• Good Manufacturing Practice experience within food and beverage preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Basic computer and database application skills.
