What is the Opportunity?
The Junior Project Manager reports to the Project Manager, Continuous Improvement, and provides project and initiative management support to the Nuclear Continuous Improvement team. The role manages small to medium scale projects from intake through close‑out, supporting the delivery of CI priorities. The Junior Project Manager may co‑lead initiatives across multiple workstreams, coordinate cross‑functional teams, maintain project artifacts, and drive day‑to‑day execution.
What You'll Do Here
- Lead and manage assigned projects from planning through execution and close‑out.
- Define and maintain project approach, priorities, and execution plans.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to drive progress and resolve challenges.
- Provide direction, oversight, and task prioritization to supporting team members.
- Review and validate outputs to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Facilitate project meetings and working sessions.
- Monitor overall project performance, including risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Escalate risks, issues, and decisions appropriately.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication.
- Support financial tracking activities related to budgets and forecasts.
- Drive consistency in project delivery by reinforcing standard approaches.
- Support rollout and implementation activities.
- Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Translate stakeholder inputs into clear, structured outputs.
What You Bring To The Team
- Strong understanding of project management principles and experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to review, challenge, and guide work produced by others.
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills across all levels.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently with high accountability and ownership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Post‑secondary education in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or management (preferred).
- Experience in continuous improvement, operational, or project‑based environments is an asset.
Compensation
Expected pay range: $90,000 – $110,000 per year.
