Drafting Coordinator

Job Responsibility:
Merit Glass ltd requires a Jr. Draftsperson/Coordinator who will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings for architectural submittal and production process as reviewed by the supervising Draftsman. The drawings are necessary for production of products in order to fulfill the needs of the project sites. This position also provides support to Merit Glass Project Managers.
This is a great opportunity for you to further your skills in drafting as you are exposed to the world of glass. Previous experience in Architectural drawings and knowledge of the Inventor software is an asset for you to turn this role into a great success.
REQUIREMENTS
- A college diploma or degree in Architecture or Drafting; or equivalent combination of education and technical work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience is an asset
- Experience in current conventional computer-aided design drafting techniques and application programs.
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Inventor software knowledge is an advantage
- Advanced knowledge and experience with blue print reading, AutoCAD, Excel and architectural drafting is essential*
- Respectable communication and interpersonal skills
- Works well under pressure in a challenging environment
- Ability to plan, access situations and work independently
- Takes initiative to complete tasks without supervision.
