Community Mental Health Worker in Ottawa

The Royal

Provide transformative community support as a Mental Health Worker, serving clients directly in Ottawa's diverse environments. Collaborate with specialized teams while enhancing client well-being through tailored services. This position requires a commitment to client-centered care, utilizing best practices and innovative approaches in community settings. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, update service plans, and advocate for client opportunities. Your skills will be vital in supporting clients with substance use, housing, and daily living challenges. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver assessment, treatment, and psychosocial rehabilitation
Conduct collaborative client assessments in community settings
Maintain accurate data collection for workload measurement
Regularly update crisis and client service plans
Advocate for services and opportunities with community partners

Requirements:

B.A. in Social or Health Sciences required
Experience with Recovery principles essential
Knowledge of relevant legislation is necessary
Excellent communication and crisis intervention skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
