Brewery Delivery Driver

Job Responsibility:

Eastbound Brewing is a brewpub/brewery in the East end of Toronto that has been in business for 7+ years. We brew on-site and deliver to area bars, restaurants and retail outlets.

We're looking for a qualified driver who will deliver orders and collect payment from customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner representative of the high standards of our establishment. You would be responsible for invoicing the customer and planning routes. In addition to this we would like this person to also attend events like Farmer's Markets and occasional beer festivals. There is a possibility of adding some brewery work like washing kegs etc to increase hours if desired and this can be discussed.

Previous brewery work experience is a definite asset.

Activites & Responsibilities

Primary

• Make deliveries of our product to residential and commercial locations.
• Generate an efficient and timely delivery route that minimizes customer wait times when delivering more than one order.
• Learn the names and recognize regular customers.
• Record completed delivery orders accurately and immediately after receipt.
• Accept cheques for payment, follow up on receivables while making deliveries.
• Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas associated with the job function.
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the Brewmaster.
• Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding services or orders.
• Assist with taking orders, preparing orders, invoicing orders, and scheduling deliveries as needed.
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of product for on-site retail store, brewpub, and brewery raw materials daily.
• Transport dozens of 30L and 50L kegs, and 24 pack cases of beer daily, including loading, offloading, and delivery on a portable wheeled dolly, hand-truck, or pump-truck.
• Track keg movement and empty keg inventory at customer locations. Coordinate pick-ups of empty kegs.
• Communicate frequently by email with customers regarding scheduled deliveries, confirmations, and empty keg inventories.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet brewery needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure service standards and efficient operations.
• Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
• Provide sales promotion materials to customers.
• Organize and tidy the warehouse on a daily basis.

• Motorized vehicles (automobile, cargo-van, 26-foot straight truck is an asset)

• Point-of-sale software (customized system for Eastbound invoicing and sales)
• Route planning (Google Maps or other software solutions)

Minimum Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Possess suitable communications skills to create a positive interaction experience with our customers.
• Possess a valid Ontario G-class driving license (additional classes an asset)
• Able to read a map and interpret written directions
• Able to work in a sitting while driving, standing, and walking position with frequent changes between positions
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 140 pounds repeatedly
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

Job Type: Part-timePart-time hours: 30-40 per week

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
