Health and Safety Administrator

About the Role:

Currently Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Health and Safety Administrato r  in Sudbury. The successful candidate will provide administrative support by working closely with the Health, Safety, Environment and Training Supervisor in order to assist with department initiatives; input training records, coordinate training, assist with procedure writing, preparing risk assessments, participating in incident investigations, and other clerical duties such as preparing and editing spreadsheets, presentations, letters, and memos.

The key responsibilities of the  Health and Safety Administrato r  include but are not limited to:

• Assist the site team with procedure writing, developing risk assessments, investigations and a resource for superintendents
• Manage training coordination, update training matrixes, schedule site indocs and 3rd party training
• Reviewing and uploading completed training documents
• Deliver Surface Mining Common Core (U0530, 531, and 532)

Qualifications :

• Post-secondary education in Workplace Safety and Prevention Technician or similar; or a combination of education and experience
• Relevant experience in health, safety and training an asset
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to take initiative to research and complete tasks with minimal supervision
