Opportunity: Lotek is currently looking for a Mechanical Assembly & Encapsulation Assembler for our Production Department. We seek a highly motivated individual capable of working in a team environment. This is an existing contract position for a period of 12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to do mechanical assembly and basic soldering with brief instruction and minimum supervision.
- Experience in operating machines, use of mechanical/electrical tools and familiarity with epoxies are a definite asset.
- Experience handling epoxies such as mixing, curing, applying, storing and its basic mechanical and chemical behaviors.
- Comfortable with applying epoxy on small parts precisely and UV curing it under microscope.
- Experienced using different materials such as epoxy and gasket to seal products from water penetration through external coating, potting it in tube or in mould.
- Must work well with others, have a positive attitude, and have excellent vision and good hand eye coordination.

- Comfortable sitting and working with hands for long periods of time.
- Ability to use safely use equipment and tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Works well under deadlines and pressure.
- You are a skilled and resourceful individual with a knack for fixing things and tackling a variety of tasks.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams on new product releases or development is a plus
